The 3 main factors that have allowed other countries to control spread of Covid 19 more effectively and resume activities early were :

• Early lock down
• Test Test Test in order to isolate positive cases
• Robust tracing of contacts of positive cases to prevent exponential spread

The contact tracing app will allow more effective and rapid tracing of contacts by a central government team. This will keep the infected numbers down and avoid another peak. This in turn will allow work life to resume and continue. Otherwise the economy will never recover and the consequences of this will be devastating.
