Dr Hozefa Ebrahim

Consultant Anaesthetist

Dr Hozefa Ebrahim is a consultant in anaesthesia and critical care medicine in the West Midlands.

Having trained in general medicine, anaesthesia and critical care in the North West and West Yorkshire, he moved to Birmingham in 2008. His anaesthetic clinical interests include paediatrics, bariatrics, orthopaedics, remote anaesthesia, cosmetics/plastics, ENT and MaxFax. 

He has a passion for teaching, and was formerly the Royal College Tutor for anaesthesia for the East Birmingham Hospitals (2015-2018). He has written a number of post-graduate books on anaesthesia and critical care medicine. His subspecialist interest is in the physics and clinical measurement of anaesthesia and critical care

Dr Ebrahim is a medical mediator, helping individuals and organisations find a solution to complaints and disagreements. He was trained in London by the Society of Mediators. 

Dr Ebrahim was previously the Senior Workforce Lead for the Critical Care Department at Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope Hospitals. He was also the co-chair of the committee responsible for all critical care medicine guidelines for the University Hospitals Birmingham Trust. 

Dr Ebrahim is described as an efficient yet approachable clinician, with a desire to continually improve himself and his environment.

In his spare time, Dr Ebrahim can be found enjoying a spot of bushcraft and extreme survival. He is also an archer, a sport he enjoys with his family.
