Dr Janak Bechar is a highly accomplished plastic and aesthetic surgeon dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care, satisfaction and results. With over 12 years’ clinical experience, he combines advanced surgical expertise with a patient-centred approach, helping individuals achieve their best, most confident selves.
As a full member of the General Medical Council. Dr Bechar won a scholarship to Medical School in Birmingham, where he graduated with honours and distinction. During this time, he was also awarded the prestigious Jean Shanks Scholarship for medical research and the British Association of Plastic Surgeons travelling grant to Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr Janak Bechar is also a champion of patient centred care, recently being awarded the Meghana Pandit Scholarship to Harvard Medical School for patient safety and leadership in the clinical environment. Dr Janak Bechar has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons after passing the prestigious internationally recognised FRCS(Plast) examinations.
He is at the cutting edge of filler research, completing a PhD in hyaluronic acid fillers and fat cells at Warwick Medical School. For this work he was awarded the prestigious Welcome Trust Award, Medical Life Sciences Award (presented by Sir Paul Nurse, Nobel Laureate) and the Medical Life Sciences Research Award. He has also been recognised for his clinical contributions, receiving a surgical prize from the Royal College of Surgeons and has written over 15 papers in the peer-reviewed medical literature. To share his experiences with other professionals, Dr Bechar has presented at over 25 national and international conferences.
